Your Finest Hour for Hospice
Together For Hospice represents 24 hospices nationwide, and this April we’re asking employers to bring the whole office together to participate in Your Finest Hour for Hospice to raise funds for your local hospice.
The concept is simple, employers are asked to give an hour of time to employees, on a date of their choosing throughout the month of April 2025. In exchange, employees are asked to donate an hour of their salary to hospice.
Your company’s reward for employees can be as simple as you like, the most important thing is that employees are treated to something special by their employer in exchange for donating an hour of their salary to hospice. The hour a company gives to employees could look like gathering everyone for a pizza on their lunch break, an hour of yoga or simply giving them some time off to enjoy being with loved ones – the choice is yours!
The 24 Hospices nationwide that make up Together For Hospice need to raise approximately €20million each year. With the population over 65 set to triple over the next 30 years, demand for services continues to grow, and in 2023 alone, hospice and specialist palliative homecare providers across Ireland cared for over 14,000 patients and made over 87,000 homecare visits.
By donating just 1 hour of your time this April, you will be giving the gift of compassion, kindness and dignity to those that need it most at a time they need it most.
For Companies
Are you ready to sign up?
- Register on behalf of your company by clicking on the Register My Company button and select the hospice your organisation wishes to support.
- Download your digital pack containing assets to support your company to participate and engage employees in the event.
- Choose a date in April for your company to give an hour of time to employees.
- Communicate your company’s plan to participate internally with employees using our email template included in your digital pack.
- Circulate your company’s personalised fundraising URL where employees are asked to donate an hour of their salary using our online wage calculator.
**Top tip! Your donation can be made anonymous, simply choose to hide your name or the amount when making a donation.
For Individuals
Do you want to donate an hour of your salary to hospice? Here’s how:
- Use our salary calculator to calculate your hourly wage.
- If your company has registered to participate, their name will appear in the company dropdown menu. Select your company’s name, and complete the donation form. Your donation will automatically go to your company’s chosen hospice.
- If your company is not participating in the event, please select ‘No My company is not participating’ in the company dropdown menu, choose your preferred hospice, and complete the donation form.
- When your donation is complete, you will receive a personalised Your Finest Hour For Hospice badge that can be shared online.
